This unusual sketch from 1840, sold by Grosvenor Auctions for £900, is a letter with a sketch titled ‘The advantages derived by living in London.’  It’s illustrated with scenes of a drunken man falling out of his coach, lying in the gutter and being arrested by the police, and scenes relating to school (a seated boy in a dunce’s hat, a patrolling schoolmaster, etc.)
