I am posting this beautiful work by Swedish artist Nina Johansson as today’s inspiration for The Sketchbook Project, partly because the landscape is so similar to the area in Ontario where I just spent two restful weeks on vacation. I lived in Sweden briefly as a child, and am always amazed by how similar the landscape there is to Canada.
The gorgeous sketch above is of a place called Kalmarn. Johansson’s site is full of other exquisite work, including her perspective on Stockholm, below. Thanks to Michael Nobbs (@michaelnobbs) for pointing out this artist.
Don’t forget to check the Sketchbook Project page – and the visual archive – for other ideas for ArtHouse Co-op’s 2012 World Tour.
