About

No Good Art or Literature in My Notebooks

I am humbled by the Moleskines, sketchbooks,  journals and notepads of the talented individuals showcased on this blog.  My own Moleskine is a functional, in-my-purse-at-all-times combination of random reminders, utilitarian recollections, scattered ideas (usually never fulfilled) and lists. As a reporter, I use a steno pad while working. It does not carry literature or art. So I am spellbound by the words and pictures put so naturally to paper by writers, artists and other interesting people.

Even though I don’t have that fierce talent, I still signed up for The Sketchbook Project 2012 and gave it my best creative try.

Update

I finished my Sketchbook Project, the very first time in my life I have sketched or painted anything, although I love art.  As I watched all the fabulous pages go online from all the true talent out there, I must admit I felt kind of wimpy not even giving it a try.  So I did, and this sketch is the one I feel most comfortable posting:

    • Hi Desiree: Nice to meet you. I did the Sketchbook Project this year (2012), the first time I’ve ever even had a sketchbook. I’ll go see it when it’s in Toronto in July. Will you have a chance to see yours on the road? Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your comment.
